Mexico City Metro L2 back in full service as Buenos Aires commuter rail runs normally

The Mexico City Metro’s Line 2 resumed its complete route on June 4, 2026, after a disruption, but three stations—San Antonio Abad, Chabacano and Viaducto—remain closed to boarding and alighting.

In the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, commuter rail services operated largely without incident on the same day. Most lines ran on their regular schedules, although some stations and segments were affected by ongoing works: Hipólito Yrigoyen station stayed closed, the Merlo‑Lobos branch ran a limited service between Merlo and Las Heras, and the Puente Alsina‑Aldo Bonzi link remained interrupted for safety reasons. Additional temporary timetables were in place on several routes due to infrastructure upgrades.

Both cities reported normal passenger flows where service was available, while informing riders of the specific stations and sections still under maintenance.
