Mexico City Metro Tlatelolco station vandalized by masked group
A group of masked individuals caused significant damage at the Tlatelolco station on Line 3 of the Mexico City Metro. The vandals broke glass and detonated pyrotechnics inside the facility.
According to the Mexico City Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC), police intervention triggered a second wave of aggression from the group, who responded by throwing more fireworks. Officers used fire extinguishers to control the situation and dissipate the smoke. During the operation, security personnel seized various weapons and tools, including hammers, sticks, chains, and active pyrotechnics.
Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported and no arrests were made during the incident. Service on Line 3 continued under preventive monitoring while officials assessed the damage to the station's entrances and investigated the origin of the attacks.
