Mexico City musician and family killed in penthouse massacre

A violent massacre occurred in a luxury penthouse in Atizapán de Zaragoza, near Mexico City, resulting in the deaths of four people and a family pet. The victims have been identified as Jonathan Meléndez, a 38-year-old keyboardist for the indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, his 35-year-old pregnant wife Ana Paola, their three-year-old daughter, and their 21-year-old nanny, Aleida Romero Victorio.

Authorities reported that the victims were found bound with adhesive tape and had sustained gunshot wounds. A six-year-old son was found uninjured at the scene. Following the incident, police arrested two men, identified as Diego Sebastián 'N' and Gerardo 'N', one of whom is allegedly a business partner of one of the victims.

Investigators believe the killings took place on Tuesday evening between 17:30 and 19:40. Neighbors reported hearing screams and gunshots prior to the discovery of the bodies.
