Mexican federal and state authorities have arrested Jorge Luis “N”, known as “Koki”, the leader of the criminal group Pueblo Unido. The operation, based on intelligence from the National Intelligence Center (CNI), took place on the Mexico-Pachuca highway in Hidalgo. Koki was apprehended alongside two of his operators.

Koki was previously an operator for Ulises “N” (alias “Pinto”), a leader of the La Barredora organization who was arrested in July 2025. Following that arrest, Koki led a split from La Barredora to form Pueblo Unido. He is considered a high-priority target in the state of Tabasco.

Authorities link Koki to various violent crimes in the municipalities of Centro and Nacajuca, Tabasco, including extortion, kidnapping, human trafficking, drug distribution, vehicle arson, and attacks against authorities. He was facing two arrest warrants in Tabasco for criminal association and residential robbery. The coordinated operation involved the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR), the National Guard, and authorities from both Tabasco and Hidalgo.
