Mexico City prepares for upcoming musical events in 2026

Mexico City is preparing for two distinct musical events scheduled for 2026.

On October 15, 2026, Mambo Café Insurgentes will host ‘Retrópolis: ¡La Fiesta Ochentera!’. The event features a mix of music, dance, and comedy, including performances by Tony Balardi, Cox, La Voice Band, and Montse Sanz. The evening aims to recreate the 1980s atmosphere through pop music, romantic ballads, and DJ sets.

Separately, the Auditorio Nacional will host ‘Disney En Concierto: Un Recorrido Musical’ on September 27, 2026. Coordinated by The Walt Disney Company and Anime Music Lab, the symphonic gala will be conducted by Rodrigo Cadet with the Orquesta Sincrophonia. The repertoire includes iconic scores from films such as ‘The Little Mermaid’, ‘Beauty and the Beast’, ‘Aladdin’, ‘The Lion King’, ‘Hercules’, ‘Tangled’, and ‘Frozen’. The performance will feature live orchestral arrangements and vocalists from the musical theater and dubbing sectors.
