Mexico City Prosecutor's Office recruits staff amid legal scrutiny
The Mexico City Prosecutor's Office (FGJCDMX) is currently recruiting Public Ministry agents to handle criminal litigation and judicialization. The position offers a monthly gross salary of 36,169 pesos and requires expertise in the accusatory criminal system, oral litigation, and legal argumentation.
Separately, legal specialist Patricia Cerna has requested information from the FGJCDMX regarding the closure of investigation files related to sexual harassment. This request follows a legislative modification by the Mexico City Congress, led by Deputy Alberto Martínez Urincho, which removed a transitory article from Article 179. Critics argue this change may hinder expert assessments in sexual harassment cases, potentially impacting the ability to prosecute offenders.
