Mexico City pushes ahead with new Cablebús lines while officials face calls for Metro Line F tender transparency

Construction on the Cablebús Lines 5 and 6 in Mexico City is continuing despite opposition from local residents. The projects will feature 12 electric buses and 33 stations, sharing lanes with Metrobús Line 4 in the historic centre. Authorities are also addressing service disruptions on Metro Line 5 and undertaking maintenance on Line 2 ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Separately, members of the civil society platform CyD and several legislators have formally requested detailed information on the bidding process for the planned Metro Line F, seeking clarification on the project's timeline, financing arrangements and equipment specifications.
