Mexico City ranked as North America's worst city for traffic

Drivers in Mexico City lose an average of 184 hours per year to rush hour traffic. Beyond delays, the congestion presents safety concerns; reports indicate 111 traffic-related deaths occurred in Mexico City during the first quarter of 2025, with motorcyclists identified as the most vulnerable group.
