Mexico City to host benefit concert for mothers of the disappeared
A benefit concert titled ‘¿Dónde están? Concierto por un abrazo’ is scheduled for November 18, 2026, at the Teatro Metropólitan in Mexico City. The event is organized in coordination with the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) as part of their ‘Gira por la vida’ (Tour for Life) to support collectives of mothers searching for disappeared persons.
The musical lineup includes Caifanes, Ely Guerra, Vivir Quintana, Meme del Real, Kevin Kaarl, and a Contingente Jaranero. Organizers, including Captain Marcos of the EZLN, have stated that all participating artists, producers, and venue staff will work without pay. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to the organizing committees to fund the logistics and travel activities of the mothers' collectives.
Ticket sales are expected to begin on October 23, 2026, via Ticketmaster.
