Mexico City truck rollover injures 12 cleaning workers

A truck belonging to the Mexico City Secretariat of Works and Services (Sobse) overturned on the second level of the Periférico highway in the Álvaro Obregón borough. The vehicle was transporting 19 cleaning workers from the Aculco area toward Los Dinamos when the accident occurred.

Preliminary reports indicate that 12 workers sustained injuries, including contusions to the head, arms, and legs. The driver, identified as Silverio Pérez García, stated that he lost control of the vehicle while attempting to avoid puddles on the wet pavement, causing the truck to tip onto its left side.

The incident caused significant traffic disruptions and required the total closure of the roadway for rescue operations and medical assessments. Additionally, two ambulances responding to the initial rollover were involved in a collision, resulting in two further injuries. Authorities have since partially reopened the lane.
