Mexico City's PBI graduates 224 new officers
The Mexico City Banking and Industrial Police (PBI), a division of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC), celebrated its 85th anniversary with the graduation of 224 new officers. The group, consisting of 102 women and 122 men, represents seven different graduating classes.
These new elements will be assigned to specialized roles, including intramural security, protection of public officials, and the transport of valuables. They are also trained to serve as technical guides for the General Directorate of Specialized Attention for Adolescents, procedural security agents, and citizen security agents.
During the ceremony held at Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixhuca, SSC head Pablo Vázquez Camacho emphasized the importance of maintaining a close relationship with the community and a permanent presence in the territory to support peace-building efforts. PBI Director Oswaldo Cantellano Ledezma noted that the institution's long history since its founding on September 21, 1941, is a result of the discipline required to serve the government and the banking, industrial, and commercial sectors.
