Mexican federal forces capture CJNG operator “M4” and seize $145 million in Yucatán assets

Federal authorities in Mexico conducted coordinated operations against organized crime. In Mérida, Yucatán, agents from the Secretaría de Marina, the Secretaría de Seguridad y Protección Ciudadana and the Fiscalía General de la República detained Justo Aurelio Rivera Parrazales, identified as a financial and logistical operator of the Cartel del Noreste. Four simultaneous raids secured 15 high‑end vehicles, a safe, weapons, cash, jewelry, electronic devices and other items valued at roughly 145 million pesos.

In a separate crackdown in Nayarit and Tlaxcala, the same agencies stormed seven residences in Tepic and Xalisco, arresting ten people, including José Guadalupe Ahumada Villegas, alias “M4”, described as a key operator of the Cártel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG). The seizures included three long‑guns, three vehicles, communication equipment and assets estimated above four million pesos. Both operations aim to weaken the financial and operational structures of Mexico’s drug cartels.
