Mexico discovers multiple homicide victims in Michoacán, Guanajuato and Tabasco

Authorities in the state of Michoacán located the body of an unidentified man on a gravel road near Los Cuiniques, Apatzingán. The victim, aged 30‑35, showed signs of violence, including a gunshot wound to the right chest. Police and forensic officials processed the scene and transferred the remains to the regional forensic service.

A similar discovery was made on a rural road near El Santiaguillo, Yuriria, Guanajuato, where another unidentified male was found with extensive injuries consistent with violence. The body was covered with sacks and was taken to the state forensic institute for autopsy. In Tabasco, a bagged corpse was uncovered in a cornfield along the Cárdenas‑Coatzacoalcos highway. While the victim's identity remains unknown, officials linked the killing to ongoing clashes between rival criminal groups, specifically the Jalisco New Generation Cartel and a faction known as “La Barredora.” Military, police and forensic teams are investigating all three cases.
