Mexico disqualifies two companies for falsifying public contract documents

Mexico’s Secretariat of Anticorruption and Good Government has disqualified two companies from participating in federal public contracting after they were found to have submitted false information to obtain government contracts.

Limpieza Géminis, SA de CV was sanctioned by the Internal Control Body of the Secretariat of Environment and Natural Resources (Semarnat) for providing false documentation regarding waste management plans for cleaning services in Mexico City and Mérida, Yucatán. The company received a fine of 158,369 pesos and a three-month disqualification.

Transmareli, SA de CV was sanctioned by the Internal Control Body of the National Water Commission (Conagua) for submitting ten professional licenses that did not match the National Registry of Professionals. This occurred during a bidding process for the 29th National Sports and Cultural Games of the Environmental Sector. Transmareli faces a fine of 814,608 pesos and a disqualification period of six months and 21 days.
