Mexico expands education and scientific cooperation through new agreements

The National Institute for Adult Education (INEA) and the Agrarian Prosecutor's Office signed a collaboration agreement to bring free literacy, primary and secondary education services to 32,500 ejidos and communal areas across Mexico. The partnership will use more than 1,500 Agrarian Service Centers to reach an estimated 5.5 million rights holders, aiming to lower the national illiteracy rate and reduce educational lag among adults over 15.

Separately, Mexico’s Secretariat of Science, Humanities, Technology and Innovation (Secihti) and the University of Buenos Aires concluded a scientific cooperation pact. The agreement will facilitate Mexican postgraduate scholarships, joint research projects, and technology development in fields such as food sovereignty, health technologies, biomedical engineering, energy transition and electromobility, strengthening bilateral scientific ties between Mexico and Argentina.
