Mexico expands mobile food assistance in Huimilpan and Chihuahua

The municipal government of Huimilpan, Querétaro, launched a "Cocina Móvil" program that will provide nutritious meals to 600 residents in the communities of La Cuesta, Carranza and Apapátaro. Over a 15‑day period the mobile kitchen will serve up to 200 people each day, targeting families in the most vulnerable areas. Municipal president Jairo Morales Martínez emphasized that "a good diet is essential for family well‑being" and highlighted coordination with the state DIF system to bring aid directly to those in need.

In the state of Chihuahua, the Secretaria de Desarrollo Humano y Bien Común announced the rollout of 40 semi‑mobile dining units as part of the NutriChihuahua initiative. The containers, equipped with kitchens and dining furniture, are intended to supplement existing community canteens and bring food services to high‑demand zones. The plan aims to reach a total of 80 operational units, expanding nutritional support for more families across the state.
