Mexico expands training on digital violence for police and youth workers

At a municipal youth institute, coordinator Joceline Quiñonez Calderón presented a module on "Types and modalities of violence," covering gender‑based violence, while communication coordinator Alexia Buendia Peña delivered a session on digital violence, explaining grooming, sexting and crimes against sexual privacy. They highlighted how online platforms can amplify misogyny and stressed the importance of protecting young people in digital spaces.

In the state of Jalisco, authorities began a specialized course for members of the state security secretariat to strengthen investigation of cybercrimes targeting children and adolescents. The training, organized by the state legal counsel, focuses on investigative techniques for offenses such as online grooming and sexual exploitation.

Both initiatives aim to improve identification and prevention of digital abuse affecting minors.
