Global academic year 2026-2027 begins in multiple regions

Various regions are reporting the commencement of the 2026-2027 academic year. In Granada, Spain, over 107,000 students have started classes across 255 centers, with a significant focus on vocational training and increased teaching resources to support diversity.

In San Roque, Spain, nearly 3,700 students have returned to classrooms, though local officials noted challenges regarding staff shortages and high student-to-teacher ratios in certain institutes. Meanwhile, in Táchira, Venezuela, more than 194,000 students have re-entered 1,496 schools, supported by approximately 36,000 educational and administrative workers.

In Achaguas, Venezuela, over 19,400 students across 161 institutions have begun the school year. In Escobar, Argentina, the municipality launched Education Week, featuring a new collaboration for higher technical studies in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.
