Mexico federal spending reaches 43.46 trillion pesos

Between December 1, 2018, and July 31, 2026, Mexico's federal budget transfers to states and municipalities totaled 17.72 trillion pesos. This amount represents a daily average of 6.33 billion pesos and accounts for 57.41 percent of the total participable federal collection.

Federal public spending during this period reached 43.46 trillion pesos, averaging 15.52 billion pesos per day. Social development received the largest share of this expenditure, accounting for 64.51 percent (28.03 trillion pesos), with priority given to social protection, education, health, and housing.

Economic development followed as the second largest expenditure category, representing 26.98 percent (11.72 trillion pesos) of total federal spending. This includes funding for fuels, energy, transport, and agriculture. The administration and operation of the judicial, legislative, and executive powers accounted for 8.09 percent of the total spending.
