ICE to Review Recruitment and Training Protocols After Migrant Deaths

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced a review of its recruitment, background‑check and training procedures after three migrants were killed by ICE agents in July 2026 – Mexican citizen Lorenzo Salgado Araujo in Texas, Colombian João Sebastián Durán Guerrero in Maine, and Mexican Juan Jairo Coronilla Durán in Florida.
