Mexico floods prompt rescues of women and children in vehicles

Heavy rainfall in Mexico has led to multiple rescue operations involving vehicles caught in floodwaters.

In Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, municipal police rescued a 33-year-old woman and her 11-month-old baby after their vehicle became stranded in approximately one meter of water in the Manuel J. Clouthier neighborhood. The pair was transported to an IMSS clinic for medical evaluation. Authorities reported several other incidents throughout the night involving stranded vehicles and citizens requiring assistance due to rising water levels.

In Puerto Vallarta, a woman and her five-year-old daughter were rescued by local residents after their vehicle was swept away by a strong current. The car was carried approximately one and a half blocks toward a storm drain near the Pitillal River before becoming stuck near a bridge. Neighbors located the occupants and assisted them to safety following the incident.
