Mexico establishes National Association of Judicial Discipline Tribunals

In Mexico, the judicial landscape is undergoing significant structural changes following the 2024 constitutional reform. During the First National Meeting of Local Judicial Discipline Tribunals in Mexico City, the Association of National Judicial Discipline Tribunals of Mexico (ANATRIDJ) was officially established. This new organization aims to serve as a permanent space for coordination and institutional exchange to strengthen disciplinary justice. Magistrate Diego Armando Guerrero García was elected as the association's first President.

Parallel to these structural shifts, the Judicial Discipline Tribunal (TDJ) has committed to increasing specialized training for judges and magistrates regarding forced disappearances. Meanwhile, the Association of Circuit Magistrates and District Judges (JUFED) has raised concerns regarding the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), citing issues with judicial independence and the professional preparation of its members following the recent reforms.

In Peru, the XXII National Judicial Games 2026 commenced in Ica. Inaugurated by the President of the Judiciary, Janet Tello Gilardi, the event brings together magistrates and judicial staff from various districts for sports competitions intended to promote integration and camaraderie within the judicial branch.
