Mexico hosts national boxing classes to promote youth wellness
A national boxing class held across more than 275 sites in Mexico drew significant participation from children and teenagers. In Tulum, coaches focused on conditioning, coordination, and footwork rather than combat techniques to build a foundation of discipline and physical preparation.
Coach Alfredo Crisanto noted that the initiative aims to provide young people with healthy habits and alternatives to risky behaviors. Similarly, in Puebla, over 300 people gathered at the Parque Ecológico for the event. Gaby “La Bonita” Sánchez, the state Secretary of Sport and Youth, emphasized that these activities are designed to promote active lifestyles and community well-being through sports.
