Mexico hosts national youth event with 987,000 participants

More than 987,000 young people participated in a national event across 5,238 locations in Mexico to celebrate national identity and sovereignty. The initiative, coordinated by the Mexican Institute of Youth (IMJUVE) as part of the ‘Jóvenes Transformando México’ strategy, involved artistic activities such as the creation of large-scale human mosaics.

Participants used various symbols to represent the nation, including the flag, the national shield, the word ‘Patria’, and Quetzalcóatl. The event was organized through collaboration between federal agencies, including the Secretariat of Education, the Secretariat of the Interior, and the Secretariat of Welfare.

In regions like Tamaulipas, local youth institutes joined the effort to promote civic reflection and community belonging through dialogues and artistic expressions in public spaces like schools and plazas.
