Mexico hosts upcoming mountain biking competitions in Toluca and Tepoztlán
Various mountain biking events are scheduled to take place in Mexico. In Toluca, the government will host the fourth stage of the 2026 Toluca Mountain Biking Cup on August 30 at the Alameda 2000 Ecological Park. The competition will use the Xiu Bike circuit in a Mountain Cross Country (XC) format, featuring various age categories including Pre-Juvenile, Juvenile, Libre, Master, and Veteran.
In Tepoztlán, the Reto Morelos 2026 is set for September 5 and 6. The event expects approximately 500 competitors to participate in a 35-kilometer route through natural landscapes and urban areas. Organized in collaboration with the Ayuwokis Bikes collective, the event includes measures to protect local flora and fauna in coordination with National Park personnel. To support local talent, the municipality is offering up to 100 free passes for cyclists originating from Tepoztlán.
