Mexico ICT sales modestly recover; Dominican Republic ICT index up 6%

In Mexico, the information and communications technology (ICT) sector reported a modest recovery in July. The sales index rose from 61.5 in June to 64.8, the highest level since March, and 70.4% of surveyed firms recorded growth, up from 60.7% the month before. Companies reporting no growth fell to 11.3%, the lowest rate of the year, while the quarterly optimism indicator increased from 51.7 to 54.9.

The Dominican Republic’s National Observatory of ICT announced that the country’s score in the International Telecommunication Union’s ICT Development Index reached 79.3 points for the 2026 edition, a 6% rise over the previous year. This places the nation 76th among 159 economies worldwide and 15th among 27 Latin American and Caribbean economies.
