Mexico INAPAM Credential Grants Seniors Free Transit and Retail Discounts

In Cancún, the government has begun issuing a free Tarifa Social MOBI credential for seniors, students and people with disabilities. The card allows holders to ride the new Ruta 27 Puente Nichupté at reduced fares – seniors travel for free, students pay 10 pesos and the general fare is 20 pesos. Credentialing started on 30 July and is available at temporary modules in supermarkets and DIF offices, as well as permanent locations such as the Benito Juárez delegation and the IMDAI office.

Separately, the bakery chain Lecaroz in the State of Mexico is offering a 5 % discount to customers aged 60 or older who present a valid INAPAM card. The promotion is part of the 2026 INAPAM Benefits Directory and applies at the Jaltenco store near Coyotepec. Both initiatives are aimed at improving the purchasing power and mobility of Mexico’s senior citizens.
