Mexico investigates two separate homicide discoveries

Authorities in the northwestern state of Nayarit discovered a male body wrapped in a blue blanket near the Tepic‑Mazatlán highway in the municipality of Acaponeta. The victim, wearing a black T‑shirt, dark jeans and tactical‑style boots, was found partially decomposed and a criminal investigation for homicide has been opened by the Nayarit Fiscalía.

In central Mexico, emergency services in Morelia, Michoacán recovered the body of a young man, estimated to be 25‑30 years old, from a storm‑drain pipe on Consuelo Alfaro street in the Ciudad Industrial area. The deceased was suspended by a cable tied around the neck and also showed advanced decomposition. Local police and the State Attorney General's Office are conducting forensic examinations to determine the cause of death and identify the victim.
