Mexico launches major road‑paving projects in Puebla and Tamaulipas

The government of the state of Puebla began rehabilitating four major streets—Cuauhtémoc, 7 Norte, 90 Poniente and 88 Poniente—covering 9,598 m² of pavement. The work, part of the 100 Vialidades 2026 program, is expected to benefit 103,548 residents across 28 neighborhoods and is being carried out at one‑third of typical cost thanks to material donations from PEMEX.

In the neighboring state of Tamaulipas, the water‑service agency COMAPA Sur completed the replacement of 68,123 m² of pavement on streets in Tampico and Ciudad Madero. The permanent pavement‑replacement program, running from 2023 to July 2026, has restored mobility and safety on key thoroughfares, delivering more than three times the work done by the previous administration.
