Mexico launches massive bridge and road projects in Veracruz and Puebla

The Mexican government announced a mega‑investment of more than 18 billion pesos to overhaul road, bridge and highway infrastructure in Veracruz. The plan will create 54,414 jobs during the current six‑year term and includes reconstruction of 402 km of federal roads, 285 km of state routes, rehabilitation of 18 bridges (11 new) and the construction of the 6‑km long Coatzacoalcos III bridge costing 5.8 billion pesos.

In Puebla, Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier inaugurated the "Puente de la Transformación" linking the Mixteca region. The new bridge is expected to serve over 1.7 million residents, improve access to the Ruta del Mezcal, boost tourism and agriculture, and replace river transport with a permanent road crossing. Both projects are presented as catalysts for regional economic development and social inclusion.
