Ciudad Juárez municipal commission donates 3,825 sqm land to UACJ
The Ciudad Juárez Commission on Municipal Land Sales approved the donation of a 3,825‑square‑metre parcel to the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez (UACJ). The land, located on Tierra de Fuego street near Lote Bravo, will be used to expand community services in the Cerradas del Sur neighbourhood, adding a parking area and a communal kitchen to feed children attending university‑run workshops and support programs.
UACJ officials said the centre already served 17,000 residents in 2024 and 18,000 in 2025, offering medical, dental, legal, psychological and social‑work services, as well as classrooms and a multipurpose hall. The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the city council for final approval and formalization of the donation.
