Emiliano Zapata Municipality Launches Sidewalk and Guardrail Construction

Mayor Nely Hernández Palomares inaugurated a municipal project in Emiliano Zapata, Mexico, to build concrete sidewalks and guardrails along Venustiano Carranza Street. The $263,664 investment will create 90 m of 1.15 m‑wide sidewalks on each side of the road, along with concrete guardrails to protect vehicular lanes. Work, contracted to Irving Vera Pérez, is scheduled for 40 days starting 3 June 2026.

The improvements aim to enhance pedestrian safety and traffic flow, directly benefiting about 35 residents and indirectly serving roughly 8,700 people in the community.
