Mexico launches NEXT program to drive corporate labor inclusion
The Mexican Secretariat of Economy and The Climb Institute have launched the first generation of the NEXT Compromiso y Empleo 2026 program. This business acceleration initiative aims to transform labor inclusion into measurable corporate actions.
Over an eight-week period, participating companies from various sectors—including automotive, retail, energy, and food and beverage—will receive technical assistance to review internal practices and implement improvements. The program focuses on three priority demographic groups: young talent, LGBTI+ individuals, and people aged 50 and older.
According to Paula Hurtado, co-founder and CEO of The Climb Institute, the goal is to ensure that inclusion is linked to organizational results and generates lasting capabilities within the companies. The initiative is part of the broader Plan México, which seeks to strengthen the domestic market and job creation.
