Mexico leads global happiness rankings for travel destinations

Mexico has emerged as a leading destination in a new global happiness ranking conducted by the travel insurance company JustCover. The study, published by Travel and Leisure, analyzed over one million online reviews across 155 popular tourist destinations to identify locations where travelers most frequently use language associated with joy and happiness.

Tulum, located on the Caribbean coast of the Yucatán Peninsula, secured the top position with a perfect score of 100 points. The destination is noted for its white beaches, turquoise waters, cenotes, and Mayan ruins. Oaxaca, situated in southern Mexico, ranked third with 88 points, recognized for its UNESCO World Heritage sites and its status as a culinary center famous for mole and mezcal.

Other notable mentions in the ranking include Soufrière, Saint Lucia, which took second place, and Las Vegas, which ranked fourth.
