Mexico mobile registration deadline for lines ending in 4

In Mexico, the deadline for registering prepaid mobile lines ending in the digit 4 expires on Thursday, October 15. According to the staggered schedule established by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (CRT), users who have not completed the registration process for these specific numbers risk losing access to calls, messages, and mobile data.

Service suspensions are expected to occur gradually over a 72-hour period following the deadline. However, a suspension does not mean the permanent loss of the phone number. Users can reactivate their service by completing the registration through their provider's digital platform or by visiting a customer service center in person. Required documentation includes an official identification and the Clave Única de Registro de Población (CURP); businesses must use their RFC.

Emergency services, such as 911, are expected to remain functional. Once the registration process is successfully completed, service is intended to resume immediately.
