Mexico mountain police rescue stranded motorcyclists near Nevado de Toluca

High Mountain and Wilderness Police from the State of Mexico Security Secretariat (SSEM) rescued three visitors stranded near Nevado de Toluca in the municipality of Tenango del Valle.

The group, consisting of two men and one woman, became stuck after their motorcycles were unable to navigate difficult terrain near the San Miguel Balderas locality. During the incident, one woman sustained a knee contusion after falling from her motorcycle, though she declined medical attention.

Officers used towing maneuvers to move the three motorcycles to a safe location on the Antenas de Probosque road. Authorities have reminded the public that the Nevado de Toluca National Park remains closed to the public and urged citizens to avoid high-risk areas and follow official safety guidelines.
