Mexico municipalities implement mobility and transport regulations

Local authorities and transport groups in Mexico are implementing measures to improve urban mobility and order. In Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, the City Council is initiating a reorganization of El Médano beach. The plan aims to reduce saturation in critical areas to ensure free movement and allow emergency vehicles access to the maritime-terrestrial zone.

In Cajeme, Sonora, taxi groups known as ‘quinceros’ have agreed to close their registry to prevent route saturation in the city center. Representing four major groups, Reynaldo Castillo López stated that the number of drivers will remain capped at approximately 330 units to maintain order. The groups are calling for mobility studies to identify underserved areas where public transport is needed.
