Mexico named Country in Focus for Iberseries & Platino Industria 2026

Mexico has been named the ‘Country in Focus’ for the Iberseries & Platino Industria 2026 event, which will take place from September 29 to October 2 at Matadero Madrid. As the second country with the highest participation in this edition after Spain, Mexico will showcase its production capabilities, talent, and business opportunities to the international audiovisual industry.

The program includes a central discussion on September 29 regarding Mexico’s competitive production conditions, featuring industry leaders such as Guillermo Saldaña, Mónica Lozano, Andrea Bilbatúa, and José Miguel Álvarez. Additionally, a gala screening of the film ‘Amores perros’, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, will be held at the Cineteca.

Mexico will also maintain a dedicated presence at Plaza Matadero with its own container, serving as a hub for the Mexican delegation to connect with international producers, executives, and partners throughout the four-day event.
