Mexico named Guest of Honor for 2027 Paris tourism fair

During the 2026 IFTM Top Resa tourism fair in Paris, Mexico was designated as the Guest of Honor for the 2027 edition. This announcement, made by tourism officials and the Mexican Embassy in France, aims to strengthen bilateral ties marking 200 years of relations and expand the presence of Mexican destinations, culture, and gastronomy within the European market.

Simultaneously, Costa Rica intensified its tourism promotion in France, its second-largest European market by air travel. The Costa Rican Tourism Institute (ICT) participated with 14 companies and launched an outdoor advertising campaign across high-traffic areas in Paris to showcase the country's natural landscapes and biodiversity.

Various Mexican states, including Michoacán and Guanajuato, also utilized the event to promote regional identity and tourism products to European operators and media.
