Mexico National Team: Discussions on squad selection and player status

As the Mexico national football team prepares for the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals against Jamaica, discussions regarding squad selection have emerged. Miguel Herrera has reportedly discussed Martín Sarrafiore with head coach Rafael Márquez. Sarrafiore, an Atlante player, is expected to obtain Mexican nationality soon through his mother, and Herrera highlighted his quality and vision as a potential option for the national team.

Separately, former striker Carlos Hermosillo has advised against calling up Santiago Giménez for the upcoming international window. Hermosillo suggested that the striker should remain in Europe to regain his form following a period of low scoring and missed opportunities in recent international appearances.
