Chihuahua Education Secretary Awards Doctorates to 35 Graduates

Francisco Hugo Gutiérrez Dávila, secretary of Education and Sport in the state of Chihuahua, led a ceremony handing out doctoral certificates to 35 students who completed the Doctorate in Education. The program is a joint effort of the Escuela Normal Superior del Estado de Chihuahua (Ensech) and the private Universidad YAÁN.

Gutiérrez praised the partnership, saying the collaboration shows that “by combining capacities, experience and a vision for the future, it is possible to offer high‑quality postgraduate programs that meet the state’s needs.” He highlighted the graduates’ role in improving education across Chihuahua and stressed the importance of investing in teacher professionalization.

University YAÁN council president Rafael Campos Hernández and Ensech director Mariano Leyva González also spoke, urging the new doctors to apply their knowledge for the benefit of the state’s schools.
