Mexico opens June registration for Bienestar senior and women pensions

The Mexican government announced that registration for the Bienestar pension programs will reopen from 22 June to 28 June. Adults aged 65 and over can apply for the senior pension, while women aged 60 to 64 may enroll in the Pensión Mujeres Bienestar. Applications must be submitted at Bienestar offices between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and require a birth certificate, official ID, CURP, recent proof of address and a contact phone number.

Cards for new beneficiaries will be distributed between 15 June and 21 June, with the first bimonthly payment scheduled for July‑August. The senior pension provides 6,400 pesos per payment period, and the women’s pension provides 3,100 pesos. The programmes are compatible with existing IMSS, ISSSTE or private pension benefits. In addition to the pensions, the Secretariat of Bienestar also offers a disability pension of 3,300 pesos and a “Salud Casa por Casa” health‑home visitation program for older adults and persons with permanent disabilities.
