Mexico opens June 22‑28 registration for Bienestar senior and women’s pensions

The Secretariat of Bienestar has opened a nationwide registration period from 22 June to 28 June 2026 for two federal pension programs: the Pension for Older Adults (65 years and older) and the Pension for Women (60‑64 years).

Modules are operating in all 32 states from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applicants are assigned a specific day based on the first letter of their paternal surname (A‑C on 22 June, D‑H on 23 June, I‑M on 24 June, N‑R on 25 June, S‑Z on 26 June, and all letters on 27‑28 June). Required documents are a valid official ID, CURP, birth certificate, recent proof of address and a phone number; an auxiliary can be designated to submit the same paperwork. Registration is free and carried out directly without intermediaries.

Beneficiaries receive a bimonthly cash transfer of MXN 6,400 for seniors and MXN 3,100 for women, deposited on a Banco del Bienestar card. The program’s complementary fund, the Fondo de Pensiones para el Bienestar, has already benefitted 7,244 workers with additional pension amounts since its launch in 2024.

Authorities warned that false messages circulating online about required data updates are scams; the government does not ask beneficiaries to respond to emails or messages to continue receiving payments.
