Mexico police detain men for family violence in Puebla and Querétaro

In Atlixco, Puebla, municipal police responded to a domestic dispute after a radio alert. They arrested 41‑year‑old Filiberto “N” after he allegedly assaulted his mother, an elderly woman, a teenager and another family member, and threatened others. Victims received medical care and protection; Filiberto was handed to the public prosecutor’s office for investigation of gender‑based family violence.

In the Laderas de San Pedro neighborhood of Querétaro, state police acting under the “Calle Segura” operation detained a man accused of assaulting his son’s mother. The suspect attempted to flee, was captured, and was identified as having prior criminal records. The victim received psychological first aid and was taken to the state prosecutor’s office to expand her complaint. Both suspects were placed under custody pending legal proceedings.
