Mexico President Claudia Sheinbaum praised for soaring approval and new housing program

Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum enjoys an approval rating around 70 percent, a figure highlighted in recent polling and described by The Guardian as making her “one of the most popular democratically elected leaders in the world”. The British outlet also noted her “cold‑headed” approach in negotiations with the United States and her status as a leading left‑wing figure globally.

In Puebla, the state branch of the Morena party publicly backed Sheinbaum’s agenda, citing the national housing initiative that will deliver more than 74,000 housing actions and extend benefits to police, fire, civil protection and forest guard personnel. The party also announced the appointment of Pablo Salazar Vicentello as coordinator of its territorial delegates, underscoring ongoing internal organization to support the president’s welfare policies.
