Puebla Governor Armenta presents 600-day administration report

Puebla Governor Alejandro Armenta Mier presented a report marking 600 days of his administration, signaling a transition from a phase of planning to one of deep transformation titled ‘Transformar en Grande’. Addressing approximately 5,000 people, Armenta emphasized that his government focuses on long-term institutional capacity rather than short-term electoral gains.

Key pillars of the administration include security, justice, and community wealth. In terms of security, the governor highlighted coordination with federal forces to combat fuel theft (huachicol) and the creation of the University of Police Sciences and Security (UCIPS). He reported a decrease in certain crimes between early 2025 and early 2026.

Social and infrastructure achievements noted include the expansion of the State University of Health (USEP), the operation of the CEPOSAMI mental health center, and the implementation of the ‘Casas Carmen Serdán’ for women's protection. Infrastructure plans involve the construction of a Cablebús system, road rehabilitation, and the ‘Puente de la Transformación’. Additionally, the administration is promoting agricultural productivity through mechanization and community-led public works programs.
