San Luis Potosí authorities arrest alleged criminal leader ‘La Wiwa’

Authorities in San Luis Potosí have arrested Juan de Jesús “N”, known as “La Wiwa”, a 35-year-old suspected criminal leader in the Huasteca region. The arrest took place in the Arboledas de Jacarandas neighborhood of the state capital during a coordinated operation involving the State Attorney General's Office, the State Civil Guard, the National Guard, and investigative police.

“La Wiwa” was apprehended to fulfill an arrest warrant for his alleged involvement in qualified homicide. Intelligence reports suggest he is linked to recent violent incidents in the municipality of Tanquián de Escobedo and may have traveled from Veracruz to participate in criminal activities in the area.

State Secretary of Public Security and Citizen Protection, Jesús Juárez Hernández, confirmed the operation. While the specific violent acts attributed to him have not been detailed, authorities believe his detention may help clarify recent events in the Huasteca region and identify other individuals involved in criminal activities.
