Mexico prosecutes gender‑based violence cases in Oaxaca and Chihuahua

The State Attorney General's Office in Oaxaca (FGEO) executed four arrest orders against men accused of family violence in several municipalities, including Santa María Huatulco, Santiago Jamiltepec, Salina Cruz and Teposcolula. Each suspect was taken into custody and placed before the courts for further legal proceedings.

Separately, the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Women and Family Violence in Chihuahua obtained two process‑linking orders against men accused of aggravated sexual abuse of minors. One case involves a suspect arrested in Ciudad Juárez, while the other was summoned to court in Chihuahua City. Both defendants face judicial measures short of preventive imprisonment.

These actions reflect ongoing efforts by Mexican authorities to address gender‑based crimes and enforce legal accountability across different states.
