Traffic disruptions and accidents reported in Mexico and Ecuador

Multiple road incidents and travel warnings have been reported across Mexico and Ecuador.

In Mexico, a fatal collision involving a car and a motorcycle occurred on Federal Highway 45 North in Cosío, Aguascalientes, after striking livestock. The accident resulted in one death and two minor injuries. Additionally, a multi-vehicle crash involving four cars caused significant material damage and temporary closures on the Córdoba-Veracruz highway due to ongoing roadworks. Another partial closure was reported on the Teziutlán-Tlapacoyan highway in Veracruz following a vehicular accident.

In Ecuador, the ECU 911 has issued warnings for travelers ahead of the August 10 holiday. Various routes in Azuay, Loja, Manabí, Esmeraldas, and El Oro are experiencing disruptions due to landslides, sinkholes, and road damage. Drivers are advised to check conditions, as many routes are only partially open or require detours.
