Mexico Publishes Public High School Admissions Results and Opens School Supplies Registration
The Secretaría de Educación y Deporte (SEyD) released the admission results for public high schools on 12 June for the 2026‑2027 school year. Registrations were collected from 13 April to 31 May through the Sistema de Información Educativa portal, with more than 50,000 students applying. No entrance exam was required; placement was automated via the Siaems system based on school capacity, student preferences, gender equity, disability status, and sibling enrollment. Assigned students must attend their designated school on 19 June for a diagnostic assessment. A telephone help center was set up for inquiries in the capital and Ciudad Juárez.
Separately, the Secretaría de Educación Pública of Hidalgo opened a registration window from 15 to 21 June for secondary, special‑education, CONAFE and adult‑training students to receive free uniforms, supplies and footwear, followed by a second window from 22 to 28 June for first‑time basic‑education entrants. Registrations are performed on the padresdefamilia.seph.gob.mx platform as part of the Programas del Pueblo and Altagracia Mercado initiatives, intended to ease family finances before the new school cycle. Beneficiaries will later download and sign vouchers for distribution, with each school announcing delivery dates.
